About Kat

Kat became aware of Ayurveda and it's profound healing qualities after travelling to India for the first time in 2010.

She has a fascination with traditional medicines of all cultures and loves the way that these modalities take into account all aspects of a person when restoring health. She thinks the rejuvenating treatments offered in Ayurveda are some of the most restoring.

After learning the key concepts within Ayurveda, it transformed the way she saw health and our body/mind and assisted greatly in helping her with her own chronic digestive troubles.

Kat is a qualified Registered nurse and worked predominantly in Palliative Care as well as standard and forensic Psychiatric nursing in the past.

She has returned a number of times to India to immerse herself in Yoga, Philosophy and Ayurveda in ashram and Yoga training environments and nothing makes her happier than being able to share this knowledge and to offer people the relaxation and rejuvenation that comes with Ayurvedic treatments.

She completed her Ayurvedic diploma under Dr Ajit at the Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies (QLD) in 2020 and has also completed two Yoga teacher trainings in 2016 (Gertrude street Yoga, Fitzroy) and 2019 (Atma Vikasa Hatha Yoga, Mysore)

She will work alongside you to provide lifestyle and dietary advice for your unique body and mind through an Ayurvedic lens and provide Traditional Ayurvedic Bodywork as an adjunct or standalone treatment.

Outside of Ayurveda Kat loves a farmers market, cats, travel, cooking and is a mother to her active toddler.
